Hey my lovelies! I recently did a little poll on my Instagram account (totally obsessed with that little thing at the minute) asking who wanted to see a dressing room tour and 92% of you did and that’s good enough for me so here it is! I hope you like it and get a little inspo along the way.
So let’s start with this little corner. The drawers are part of the MALM range at IKEA this is the 4 drawer set and you can purchase these HERE I love how fresh, white and seamless they are. Iv also always loved the idea of wardrobes with no doors, when I see accounts that have the pax range from IKEA in their walk in wardrobes I LOVE them but I also know it would drive me mad seeing all my clothes on show, so I decided to do a mini version instead! I got this little clothes rack from IKEA also (you will notice a lot of my furniture in here is from IKEA!) I think it looks so nice with a few grey items hanging on it (obviously they had to be grey) you can get this little bargain HERE. Next up my marble DIY Shelf yayyy I LOVE THIS it’s so cute! Again this shelf is from IKEA (HERE) I then covered it in marble fablon (obsessed with the stuff) which you can purchase online HERE, Wilko or B&Q. Lastly my beautiful merino chunky knit blanket is from @house_of_merino on Instagram you NEED to go check it out.

Onto my beautiful dressing table! I’m so in love! I get lots and lots of questions about this space, so here goes! First up my furry bench, if you didn’t already know I made this myself and you can find a step by step guide on how to make your own on my blog HERE. My black and white rug I actually got from Lidl but I know they don’t sell these anymore so iv tried to track you down a similar one HERE although it’s slightly pricier than mine! Then onto the dressing table, I think a majority of people I know have this beauty because it just works so well as a make up table, but if you didn’t already know it’s part of the MALM range at IKEA and you can get yours HERE. You will probably of guessed by now that I’m obsessed with marble so of course I marbled the top of my dressing table.. had to be done. I used the same marble fablon as I used on my floating shelf. Now the best bit! My mirror. Ahh My beautiful mirror. This is my take on the Hollywood version, because I just can’t bring myself to pay £300+ knowing I’ll probably change my mind on it in 6 months time (I’m a nightmare). So I actually bought the mirror and lights separately. The lights are a stick on version and plug straight into the mains you can also use a dimmer switch I got these from Amazon HERE and the frameless mirror is again from IKEA (shock) get it HERE.

Update: I have recently changed my dressing room bench to this stunning grey velvet one which you can purchase HERE … this actually comes with wooden brown legs but I just used 3 coats of white emulsion paint and they look as good as new!

So here’s a quick little tour of my dressing table accessories! I always get asked where my make up storage is from that fits in my drawer. It’s from IKEA and it’s actually a cutlery insert! I stand 2 side by side and they are part of the STODJA range it’s the 31×50 tray (or if you would prefer to get it online and have it in a few days because your impatient like me, you can HERE) My jewellery tray is also a little DIY I did and you can find out how to make your own HERE. My clear storage holders I use to hold my hair clips, hair bobbles, and cotton buds! They are so handy they came as a set of 5 and are also from IKEA (HERE). My make up brush holders are both from IKEA HERE and HERE. You’ve probably worked out by now that I do love a bit of IKEA! My candle and the holder is also from IKEA (holder HERE and candle HERE it smells amazing!) And finally my beautiful make up bag, you can also get personalised versions of this and it’s from Print Chic HERE.

Here is another little DIY i did, although I never got round to doing a full post on it I’ll give you a little run through. I got these bed slats from IKEA they are the children’s version so a nice length they are from the LUROY range 70×160 and you can get them HERE. I then hooked them onto some coat hooks which I also got from IKEA (HERE) I then just painted the slats in a white matt emulsion, I gave them around 3 coats each. Then for the marble, I used my marble fablon and cut 14 identical strips and placed them on each slat and that’s pretty much it! So easy and matches perfectly with the rest of my room.

I love my 4 A4 designer prints they fit this space perfectly, you can get these from the Print Chic website HERE. I then got the black A3 size frames from Wilko they are so cheap! The chest under my furry rug i got years ago so unfortunately I have no idea where you can get one of those now, I use it to store all my shoes that I don’t wear too often. You can get the white fur rug from The Range HERE and I bet you can’t guess where I got my drawers from… Yep IKEA strikes again! These are the ALEX drawers I got two of the smaller ones and placed them on top of each other (HERE) but you can actually buy a 9 drawer set as well and it’s £5 cheaper (every little helps!).

Last but not least my mirrored wardrobes! I love how much bigger they make my dressing room feel even if they are a NIGHTMARE to keep clean! So i got these about 3 years ago now and they are from Argos. They are two sets of single wardrobes stood next to each other and you can get them HERE, I love how tall they are! And finally, my beautiful rug that doesn’t actually live here, but it couldn’t miss out on a photo opportunity i got this beauty from Dunelm but I do advise you to go in store and check out the colours in person!
There we have it! I feel like this has gone on forever so well done you if you’ve actually got this far! Have you found this helpful? Did it answer some of your questions? Please let me know and don’t forget to find me on Instagram @littlehomecomforts
